Zebulon

“The town of friendly people”

Zebulon is the easternmost town in Wake County. It was established in 1907 and named after Zebulon B. Vance, the governor of North Carolina during the Civil War.

The municipality's motto is "The Town of Friendly People", and they mean it! Zebulon continues to maintain a strong sense of community today, a small-town atmosphere and a welcoming attitude.

The population currently is 6,903, bolstered by newcomers and the 1997 annexation of the neighboring community of Wakefield.

Although close to Raleigh, Zebulon residents don't have to go far for entertainment. Like baseball? Nearby Five Counties Stadium is home to the popular Carolina Mudcats minor league baseball team.
